Design
Tossfad is Paul Guthrie, lighting designer and video producer to the stars. The brief was for a visually simple site to feature photographs of his lighting designs in action and his video production work. The main content area was designed to be reminiscent of a Polaroid.
Techy stuff
The site was first designed in 2006. New content is uploaded then added to a simple text file. The Flash file automatically adds the new content to the site and assigns the correct number of thumbnails or attaches the video player if required. At the time, writing your own custom video player was the only option. The site has been continuously updated by Paul without need of a single support call.
