Design

Animation for an industrial control system in use at companies such as Bridgestone/Firestone and Titleist. The animation needs to convey at a glance the state of equipment running an automated process. Modelled in Autocad, animated and rendered to vector in Swift 3D, assembled and published in Flash.

Techy stuff

Implemented to the factory floor in a Windows app for communication with machine sensors via Programmable Logic Controller. In the actual plant situation the animation is not a simple sequence, the animation responds to input from the machinery. For example, when a proximity sensor on the back charge door indicates that the door has opened, the animation receives an input and plays the section of the animation showing the door opening.
